New: Two buttons to launch the Student app from their web account

This message is sent to you in your role as Account Manager in Digiexam. We will also post a banner message in the platform to all staff accounts.

From October 6th, we’re adding a second button to launch the Digiexam App from the student web portal.

The new app has been available and used on MacBook and Windows machines since September. As we've opted for a slower rollout due to the complexity of transitioning from the legacy app to the new student app for Windows and Mac, we've continued to keep the legacy app functioning for a little while longer.

A transition from the legacy iPad application to the new iPad application will be the next step in our application development.

With the Legacy app still being supported, two Launch Digiexam buttons will be made available from the student portal, each pointing to the specific version (15.0.xx and 25.3.xx). We are doing this to minimise confusion and to prevent the wrong app version being launched if both apps are available. The New app requires users to be on version. 25.3.14 or newer.

This addition will be available on Monday October 6th.

Please note: If you are using Chromebooks, or signing in directly to the app with email and password nothing is changed. This only refers to when launching the app from the web portal.
