Steps to Start an InPrivate Session

Option 1: Using Keyboard Shortcut

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Press Ctrl + Shift + N on your keyboard.
  3. A new InPrivate window will open.

Option 2: Using the Menu

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner of the browser.
  3. Select "New InPrivate window" from the dropdown menu.
  4. A new window will open with a dark theme and the label InPrivate in the top-left corner.

🔹 What You Can Do in InPrivate Mode

  • Sign in with a different Microsoft or Azure AD account.
  • Access work or school resources without interference from your personal account.
  • Browse without saving history or cookies.

🔹 Important Notes

  • Once you close the InPrivate window, all session data is cleared.
  • You’ll need to re-authenticate each time you open a new InPrivate session.
  • This does not affect your normal browser session or saved data.

  • Accessing school or work portals with a different account.
  • Troubleshooting SSO login issues.
  • Testing access to web apps with different credentials.
